Refer to the K2 Pro Laser Module Cleaning Tutorial Video and follow the steps below.
1. Cleaning Tools
2. Cleaning Procedure
① Remove the Laser Module
② Clean the Laser Module Housing
Apply a small amount of absolute ethanol to a lint-free cloth and wipe away dirt and dust from the surface of the laser module.
③ Remove the Air Hood
Use the L2.0 hex key to loosen the set screw on the side of the air hood, then gently remove the air hood.
④ Clean the Protective Window
⑤ Clean the Air Hood
Apply absolute ethanol to a lint-free cloth and wipe away oil stains and dust from the tip, interior, and air vents of the air hood. Make sure the laser beam path is not obstructed and the airflow is not blocked.
⑥ Remove the Laser Module Fans
⑦ Clean the Laser Module Fans
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dust from the fan blades. Then apply absolute ethanol to a lint-free cloth and gently wipe the fan blades to remove stubborn dirt.
After cleaning, make sure the fans are completely dry before reinstalling them.
3. Cleaning Frequency
| Component | Cleaning Frequency |
|---|---|
| Laser Module Housing | Clean when the surface is dirty. |
| Air Hood | Clean when the tip is dirty. |
| Protective Window | Clean once after every 4 hours of continuous operation. |
| Focusing Lens | Clean when the protective window is severely dirty or damaged. |
| Laser Module Fan | Clean once after every 100 hours of cumulative use, or when there is visible dust accumulation. |
4. Precautions
Note: Damage to the focusing lens or other optical components, including contamination, scorching, or cracking caused by failure to clean the protective window regularly as required, is not covered by the warranty.
Refer to the K2 Pro Air Assist Cleaning Tutorial Video and follow the steps below.

Cleaning Procedure
① Clean the Housing
Apply absolute ethanol to a lint-free cloth and wipe away dust and dirt from the surface of the air assist housing.
② Drain the Water
Remove the water tank plug, drain all liquid from the tank, and clean the water tank thoroughly before reinstalling it.
③ Open the Top Cover
Remove the four mounting screws on the bottom and open the top cover of the air assist system.
④ Clean the Air Pump
Apply absolute ethanol to a lint-free cloth and gently wipe away dust and dirt from the surface of the air pump.
As shown in the video, wrap the lint-free cloth around the L2.0 hex key and use it to clean the air inlet and outlet. This helps prevent the air pump from overheating and burning out due to blocked air passages.
⑤ Clean Dust Inside the Enclosure
Apply absolute ethanol to a lint-free cloth and clean the dust from the inner walls of the enclosure to reduce the likelihood of dust entering the air pump.
Cleaning Frequency
| Component | Cleaning Frequency |
|---|---|
| Housing | Clean when there are oil stains or other dirt. |
| Air Pump | Clean once after every 100 hours of cumulative use. |
| Inside of the Enclosure | Clean once after every 100 hours of cumulative use. |
Precautions
Refer to the K2 Pro Enclosure Interior Cleaning Video and follow the steps below.
Cleaning Tools
Cleaning Procedure
① Turn Off the Machine
Turn off the machine and make sure that all operations are performed in a safe state.
② Clean the Fan
Note: If the fan needs to be completely removed, use scissors to cut the cable ties securing the cables, then remove the screws securing the mounting block before completely removing the fan.
③ Clean the Bottom Plate
④ Clean the Linear Guide Rails
Apply absolute ethanol to a lint-free cloth and gently wipe the linear guide rails at the bottom of the X-axis and on both sides of the Y-axis to remove surface dirt. After cleaning, apply grease evenly to maintain proper lubrication.
Note: White Grade 2/3 grease is recommended. When the ambient temperature is below 15°C, Grade 2 grease is recommended. When the ambient temperature is above 15°C, Grade 3 grease is recommended.
Cleaning Frequency
| Component | Cleaning Frequency |
|---|---|
| Fan | Clean once after every 100 hours of cumulative use, or when there is visible dust accumulation. |
| Bottom Plate | Clean when there is visible residue or dirt. |
| Linear Guide Rail | Clean once after every 100 hours of cumulative use, or when there is visible dirt. |
Precautions
If the engraver will remain unused for an extended period, follow the instructions below to help extend its service life.
Storage Environment
Store the engraver in a dry, dust-free environment to prevent electronic components from becoming damp or oxidized. Before storage, clean out any debris from inside the enclosure.
Power On the Machine Regularly
It is recommended to power on the machine and run it for at least 5 minutes once a month to remove internal moisture and maintain the circuit system and electronic components in good condition.
Rust Prevention for Linear Shafts
Before long-term storage, it is recommended to apply an appropriate amount of rust-preventive oil to the surface of the linear shafts to prevent rust caused by changes in ambient humidity, which could affect subsequent motion accuracy.
Inspection Before Reuse
After the machine has been unused for an extended period, check the lubrication condition of the linear shafts and the tension of the timing belts before reuse.
Run the machine without processing for 5 minutes to check for any abnormal noise or binding. Resume normal processing only after confirming that the machine operates normally.
