Answers to 32 questions about specifications, materials, software, accessories, and laser safety.
Answer: No. The engraver is currently compatible only with the original laser module supplied by the manufacturer and does not support laser modules from other brands. Using a non-original laser module may cause the machine to malfunction or even result in hardware damage. We recommend purchasing the corresponding laser module through official channels for replacement.
Answer: The standard engraving area is 500 mm × 300 mm.
Answer: The maximum electrical power consumption of the entire machine is 240 W, and the maximum laser output power is 55 W.
Answer: Yes. The engraver supports the CR1 Control Panel, which allows you to perform offline processing, directional movement, and other operations without relying on computer software at all times.
Note: When using the CR1 Control Panel for engraving, you must first configure the relevant parameters in AtomStack Studio or LightBurn and export the file in “.NC” or “.GC” format. Copy the file to a USB flash drive, then insert the USB flash drive into the machine before using the CR1 Control Panel.
Answer: The maximum available internal space is approximately 633 mm × 535 mm.
This dimension refers to the maximum internal capacity. The actual available processing area is 500 mm × 300 mm.
Answer: The overall dimensions are 750 mm × 600 mm × 261 mm (L × W × H).
Answer: Yes. By purchasing the R7 Conveyor Feeder and H4 Riser separately, the engraving area can be expanded to 500 mm × 800 mm.
Note: A minimum of 510 mm of clearance must be reserved between the engraver and the wall to allow sufficient space for the conveyor feeder to move.
Answer: Without removing the bottom plate or taking out the honeycomb panel, the maximum material thickness that can be processed inside the enclosure is 55 mm.
If the bottom plate is removed, the maximum material thickness depends on the height of the raised support and the working environment. Actual processing capability should be confirmed based on specific working conditions.
Warning: After removing the bottom plate, the equipment no longer complies with the Class 1 laser product safety classification under IEC 60825-1. Be sure to take appropriate personal protective measures.
Answer: The maximum laser output power is 55 W.
Answer: Currently, no higher-power laser module is available for compatibility with this engraver.
Answer: The normal service life is 10,000 hours (at an ambient temperature of 25°C and under proper maintenance conditions).
Answer: Yes. Engraving can be performed after removing the bottom plate.
Warning: After removing the bottom plate, the machine no longer complies with the Class 1 laser product safety classification under IEC 60825-1. Be sure to take appropriate personal protective measures and ensure that the operating environment is safe.
Answer: Yes, but the surface must be treated first.
Transparent materials, such as clear acrylic and transparent glass, have relatively low laser absorption rates, so direct engraving may produce poor results. It is recommended to first apply a layer of black paint marker or black adhesive film to the material surface to enhance laser absorption before engraving.
Answer: Yes. The included power adapter supports a wide input voltage range of 100–240 V, making it compatible with both 110 V and 220 V power systems and suitable for use in different countries and regions. The adapter output is 24 V, 10 A.
Answer: The engraver can only engrave a limited range of metal materials, such as stainless steel, iron, and black anodized aluminum. Metal cutting is not supported.
Answer: Yes. The engraver can engrave and cut leather materials. For specific processing parameters, such as power and speed, please refer to the official recommended parameter table.
Scan the QR code on the back of the machine to view the recommended parameters for different materials.
Answer: Yes. Download and install the AtomStack Studio App to control the engraver from your smartphone. The app supports Wi-Fi connectivity. For detailed instructions and precautions, please refer to the Mobile App Connection section.
Answer: Yes. You need to purchase the R6 or R8 Rotary Attachment and the H4 Riser to engrave curved objects. For detailed instructions and precautions, please refer to the Rotary Attachment Usage Guide section.
Answer: Yes. You need to purchase the compatible R6 or R8 Rotary Attachment and the H4 Riser. For detailed instructions and precautions, please refer to the Rotary Attachment Usage Guide section.
Answer: Yes. The machine is compatible with the AC150 Air Purifier, which can effectively filter smoke, dust, and odors generated during engraving and cutting.
Note: When using the air purifier, make sure the exhaust hose is securely connected to the purifier inlet to prevent smoke leakage and ensure effective filtration.
Answer: Yes. The machine comes with a dedicated honeycomb bed as a standard accessory. It can be used to support materials during cutting, improving heat dissipation and smoke extraction.
Answer: Yes. The machine comes with a fire-extinguishing air assist system as a standard accessory.
Note: Before use, fill the water tank with water. When the machine triggers a flame alarm, the mainboard will output a signal to automatically activate the fire-extinguishing pump and spray water to extinguish the fire.
Answer: Yes. Replacement parts are available, and replacement is relatively easy. The engraver features a modular design, and key components, such as the laser module, mainboard, fans, and motors, can be replaced independently. Users can refer to the relevant video tutorials to perform the replacement themselves.
Note: Before replacing any component, please contact Customer Service to confirm the cause of the malfunction and the parts required. Obtain the corresponding replacement video tutorial before proceeding.
Answer: The fan speed is 7,000 r/min. The ambient noise level is 48.3 dB. The noise level is 72 dB during horizontal engraving and 81.9 dB during vertical engraving.
Answer: The engraver supports the following control software:
Note: For first-time users, AtomStack Studio is recommended as the preferred software because it is easier to operate. LightBurn is more suitable for experienced users who require more precise parameter adjustments.
Answer: The control software supports common vector and bitmap formats, including SVG, DXF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, and more.
Answer: The operating ambient temperature range is −10°C to +35°C.
Answer: No. Reflective materials cannot be engraved directly. Before engraving reflective materials, the surface must first be treated to reduce its reflectivity, such as by sanding or applying a black coating, to ensure that the laser energy can be effectively absorbed.
Risk Warning:
- Reflective materials, such as mirror-finished metals and high-gloss acrylic, may reflect the laser beam, potentially damaging internal laser components or causing accidental burns or property damage due to changes in the reflection angle.
- Recommended treatment: It is recommended to reduce the material's surface reflectivity by applying a black paint marker, sandblasting the surface, or applying black adhesive film before engraving to ensure safe and effective processing.
Answer: Please refer to the K2 Pro Maintenance and Care page for cleaning intervals and instructions.
Answer: To ensure personal safety and stable operation of the equipment, do not engrave the following materials:
Processing Recommendations:
- Before formally engraving materials with an unknown composition, it is recommended to perform a test at low power. Check for abnormal smoke, sparks, or laser reflections, and proceed with batch processing only after confirming that the material can be processed safely.
- If the material produces an irritating or pungent odor, open flames, or abnormal splattering during testing, stop processing immediately.
Answer: If the engraver will be left unused for an extended period, follow the recommendations below to help extend its service life:
1. Storage Environment
2. Periodic Power-On Operation
